Dreaming gowns: A dress if you won a Nobel Prize

Winning a Nobel Prizewould be an amazing feat. Can you imagine choosing a dress for that incredible red carpet affair? Elizabeth Blackburn and Carol Greider enjoyed such a delightful dilemma in 2009.

Blackburn, Greider and Jack Szostak shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work on how chromosomes are protected by telomeres. What recognition for decades of research. I love this interview where they talk about finding out about the award.

Of the 876 people who received the Nobel Prize between 2001 and 2013, 45 were women. I imagine that this number will increase dramatically in my lifetime. If you received a Nobel Prize, what would you wear to the award ceremony? Let us dream together.

The award ceremonies are held in Olso, Norway every December 10. I think this beaded turquoise Sherri Hill formal gown would be a fabulous shot of color on short winter days. The beautiful beaded neckline means you wouldn't have to worry about jewelry, either.
