4 Dresses for a Cruise

Going on a cruise always seemed so fun, and it seems like more of us are heading off to sea. In 2012, more than 10 million people embarked on cruises from American ports alone! All right, all right, you forced me. I'll pack my bag. I'll jump on that floating party ship. I'll see new places. You can be sure that I'll pack dresses.

This irresistible sleeveless dress has been on my mind since I first saw it. It's a classic shirt dress with loads of personality. Sheer panels, an embellished collar and sassy black bow make this champagne dress perfect for both on board and on land activities (glass of champagne to celebrate port departure, anyone?).

While I know that someone carries your suitcase to your cabin, I hate overpacking. It leaves no room for souvenirs. So every dress in my bag has to be versatile. A strapless maxi dress with a chunky belt can be styled for both day and night. Olive green's more my color, but the red is quite nice as well.

This teal lace dress is perfect for on board evening activities. Most cruise lines have relaxed the dressing for dinner requirement, but there's usually one night or perhaps one dining room that lets you have fun dressing up a bit.
